Thermal Imaging

Thermal imaging relies upon the fact that everything above -273C emits energy, albeit an energy that is invisible to the eye. However, by using thermal imaging equipment it is possible to see this energy. It is possible, for example, to see an area of wet insulation, as this will emit more heat than a dry area and it will show up as a hot area on a thermal image.

Specialist non-invasive survey

We combine our extensive knowledge of our specialist roofing and cladding surveyors with the latest in thermal imaging technology. This enables us to assess roofs, cladding and double glazing.  We are uniquely placed to provide a one-stop source for a specialist non-invasive survey.

When carried in accordance with BS EN 13/87 1999, a thermal image building survey can be an invaluable source for information to the building owner to identify defects such as:-

  • Flat roof leaks
  • Wet or missing insulation
  • Water damage
  • Heat loss
  • Air tightness
